Yellow Bridal Shower Cake

yellow bridal shower cakeThis was actually for a Bridal Shower but came out looking like an actual wedding cake. This is a fondant covered cake using 14, 10 & 6" pans. The quilting was the hardest part...but I'm getting the hang of it! All edible except for the silk bow on top.

Yellow and White Wedding Cake

yellow and white wedding cakeThis cake was made using a petal pan for top and bottom layers, and the whole thing was covered in fondant. The center tier was decorated by piping on royal icing. Once hardened I went over all of the scrolls w/ super pearl luster dust to give it a shiny pearlized look. The flowers were all made by hand with gumpaste.

Tear Drops of Joy

tear drops of joy cakeThe inside of the tier drops of joy cake is chocolate with cream cheese filling and covered in butter cream frosting. The tiers are covered in fondant flavored vanilla.

The tear drops are fondant with a little gum paste colored in golden yellow. I hand cut all of the tear drops and ribbons. I finished the tear drops with some shimmer dust on some of them to give the cake more dimension. This is a giant cake with a 14" bottom tear, a 12" middle, and a 10" top. Each tier was 5" tall. In the picture I placed salt shakers to show the size difference.
