it would be much better if you made two 2" thick cakes and put them together instead of trying to make a 4" one.
With out seeing the recipe you plan on using it is hard to tell you what & howmuch ingredients to use. I have no idea what ingredients you have in your country that would be different from what we have in the U.S.
