Favorite Homemade Cake Recipes

There are plenty of occasions when you'll find yourself wanting to make something special for that special someone - and only a homemade cake will do.Without question, homemade cakes are fresher, tastier, and contain no artificial ingredients or preservatives.

There have been times, over the past 30+ years,when I've had to resort to a cake mix, but not without a guilty conscience. When the complements flow in, I'd prefer to take credit for a complete masterpiece.

However,my baking skills were nothing to rave about when I first started. I invented my first cake at 6 years old. It was made with safflower oil and it was so disgusting, no one could eat it. Thank goodness for the easy recipes I've found over the years...they've spared family members from choking. I hope you will enjoy this collection of recipes as much as I do.
