I made the cupcakes with victoria sponge and coloured vanilla buttercream. I have loads of muffin trays so this made it easier making a hundred all in one go. The top tier is madeira cake covered with marzipan and fondant. I used royal icing to pipe the leaves and swirls then dusted them with edible gold dust. The roses are made with petal paste. This cake was fun to make and went down such a treat with the bride and her mother.
