Would like ideas on decorating the cupcakes for baby shower. The baby is a boy!

Here are a few different suggestions:

- blue and white plaid checked cupcakes
- cupcakes with diaper pin, pacifier, etc.
- make something to match the baby shower invitations
- baby animals like kittens, puppies, etc.
- carousel theme
- booties
- baby face with a bondant on it
- building blocks in blue, green and yellow
- blue baby bottles

Most of these can be made in advance with gum paste and placed on top of either a buttercream frosted or fondant covered cupcake.

You can make the baby sleeping covered with a blanket. You can find this on Wilton's cupcake pages. Or what is also really cute is to make individual cupcakes with a rattle, booties, and safety pins.
