Edible Paper Printers

I was watching Cake Boss and it looked like he printed a picture on edible paper not icing paper, then put on fondant. Did I see right and if so, does anyone know about this?

I saw that episode of Cake Boss and I believe it was on a frosting sheet. When you use rice or potato fondant paper the image does not come out as clear and they do not adhere as well as frosting sheets. Printing edible images can be very time consuming and comes with a lot of clogging and misprinting issues. You can purchase edible images at www.fillsyourheart.com as far as I have seen they are the least expensive with the biggest selection.

Cricut makes a machine that is just for cakes. It is just like the ones they use for scrapbooking. This is called CricutCake and there is also a Mini. Right now the mini is on sale for $99.

Yes. You can purchase printers for use with rice or wafer paper. {edible paper} I know Canon makes one; not sure what other brands. However, you can only ise it with edible inks. If it is used with regular printing ink, it will leave toxic residue not fit for humsn consumption. The printers are pricey but open up a lot of possibilities in cake decorating.
