If you are using ricepaper, you can draw and color them in with food color pens. They are felt tip pens that contain food color. I use them on rice paper all the time. You can draw out the design on plain paper. Make sure it is dark. Then, simply lay the rice paper over it and follow the lines of the picture with the markers. Color in the areas you want color, then cut out your design. Be careful not to get the rice paper wet because it will disintegrate. I got my pens in the cake decorating aisle of Michael's Crafts. You could also make the wings out of gelatin but you would need molds. Good luck!
