Fathers Day Cake

This fathers day cake is a very special cake I made for my Dad...He has owned his T.V. shop for over 25 years and I remember the 1st t.v.'s he had in his store...my dad also loves his black cowboy hat and loves to play the guitar and sing so I put all the things together and made this cake....to make the cowboy hat I used gumpaste and hand molded the cowboy hat in shape, after letting the hat sit over night, I painted the hat with black food coloring and gel mix..after it dried I used brown fondant and made the hat band and used silver dragees as the studs...the t.v., I used a small square pan and pound cake after cooling I carved the cake to shape of a t.v., covered it in fondant, painted with brown luster dust, and used black coloring to draw the screen...painted the screen with silver luster dust, hand molded the knobs from gumpaste and attached with royal icing and dragees, the guitar I hand carved covered it with buttercream, rolled in fondant and painted with luster dust, guitar strings are made from floral wire,the cake stands are chocolate cake covered in fondant and painted with blue, green, yellow and sunlit gold luster dust, other cake covered in fondant and cut out fondant stars, painted with super blue luster dust, and dusted with blue pearl dust..trimmed with butercream icing and dusted with pearl dust..the antennas are made with floral wire and all 3 of us girls signed our names on the guitar with food color markers,..this cake made my dad cry.
