Finding Nemo

2x 14inch kids birthday cake tin
Buttercake mix (quantity for 2x14inch tins)
Raspberry Jam (1 cup)
Butter icing ((small amount of copha added)
Orange food colour (1kg)keep 1/2 cup before you colour for black icing.
Black food colour (1/2 cup)
Template picture of the fish the size of the cake you would like.

This birthday cake was made for my neice Tori. I drew a picture of nemo and used this as the template. I baked 2x 14inch oblong cake. I used standard buttercake mix.I placed the cakes on the long sides and carved the fish, using the template along side the fish for shaping. I placed some jam in the middle to hold cakes togeather. Then iced it with buttercream icing using orange and black. I piped around the white stripes with black icing. I used three tablespoons of melted copha in the icing to help set the cake. Very good when the weather is hot, stops the cake from melting on the delivery.
