I'm making a fondant covered cake that looks like a stack of packages. The tiers are: 6"square by 8" high; 8"square by 8" high; 10" square by 8" high; and 12" square by 4" high. I think that I will make two 2 layer cakes for each of the top three tiers and stack them with cakeboard between before covering with fondant. I am concerned about the cakeboards supporting the heavy cakes and about doing fondant on these cube like cakes.
