GOLD SCROLLS
by: bamagrama

You can make the scrolls 2 different ways.
First: Pipe the scrolls directly onto the cake with royal icing and let set completely; then, paint over the scrolls with metallic gold food color,[order online} and 24 carat gold powder or luster dust.
Second: make the scrolls out of gumpaste; shape them and dry them on waxed paper; let dry overnight; paint with metallic gold food color and dust with gold luster dust or 24 carat gold powder mixed with a little vodka. Let dry completly; attach to cake with meringe powder mixed with a little water. {makes a great glue}
Good luck!
