Halloween Cupcakes

I got the idea for these fun guys out of some different Wilton Yearbooks with Halloween cakes. I used different colored icings to frost them smooth, as the base coat, and then piped the details on top. For the yellow moon and Frankenstein hair, and the werewolf fur, I used a star tip. They turned out a lot more fun than scary! :-)

they look so cool!!! i was just wondering if you could tell me what type of icing/frosting you have used...i find that when piping hair on character cupcakes using buttercream as soon as it hardens it drops off.....is there an icing thats ideal for this and also keeps well in warm weather and doesnt need to be refrigerated??

This is just the right idea I could use to place around my pumpkin cake (Wilton pan).Great idea!
