Homemade Hello Kitty Cake

I used the 1 Kg of Eggless Sponge Cake Mix, 700ml water and 150g melted butter to bake the cake using 9"x 13" tin pan. As for the fondant, I made it using the "marshmallow fondant recipe" found from the internet. After covering the fondant on the sponge cake, I added 2 different colourings - brown and red to make the eyes, nose and ribbon. I bought dark mint chocolate sticks (instead of black licorice sticks) to make the whiskers. As this is my first attempt, I find the fondant too sweet due to the amount of icing sugar used.
