ok so i have the basic cake down and i have a good recipe, but i have 7 cakes on in the week this one is due, and although i dont want it to be too complicated, i would like to be able to give the cake a glaze so it looks like a real glass. Now someone suggested painting with glucose but i tried this on a balloon model i had made and it took forever to set and went patchy, so not great, someone else has suggested boiling down hard boiled sweeets, but i think this might be too hard when it needs to be cut............so any experts out there have any ideas on how i can get the glass effect for this cake (ps confectioners glaze isnt enough) thanks for any ideas (ps i am self taught and not a professional so any ideas in laymens terms please lol)
