How to draw (pipe) pictures onto sheet cakes

How can i use some character pictures from the little mermaid to draw them onto my daughters cake? How can i make a template to outline?

Royal icing tranfers

take a picture of the charactors and tape them to a clear piece of glass then place a piece of wax paper over the glass then use royal icing and outline with black royal icing or chocolate icing and then color in with the colors in the picture ..just remember that the tranfer is backwards and you need to fill in the somethings first as that would show up first ...like if a hummingbird was getting nectar from a flower ..the flower would be first then his beak would be next ...then when finished put it in the freezer for about 2 hours then take the wax paper off the glass and turn it icing side down on your cake and rub gently and peel off the wax paper..Good luck
