How -to-Directions

My daughter will be turning 11 years old on the 27th of this month, birthday party will be on the 28th & she wants her B-Day cake to be in the shape of a peace sign/symbol. She wants me to bake/make, not buy, but make this "Peace Sign" B-Day cake. I am no Betty Crocker, but if given step-by-step directions I can hold my own. It does not have to be from scratch, but can handle baking from scratch as long as the end results are the same; a nice looking cake in the shape of a peace sign that tastes as good as it looks. To sum it all up I would like detailed directions on how to make a peace sign shaped cake that will serve 15 to 20 kids. Thank You for any & all help.

Peace Sign

Any cake mix will do. But if you will use a 14" round pan, 3 cake mixes should do it. Bake at 325. Let it set for 10 minutes, put on a cake board, and freeze it. Freeze for about 24 hours, then cut into a peace sign. You can cover with butter cream icing. Very easy to do.

Butter cream icing:

2 cups of crisco
1/2 tsp. of clear butter extract
1/2 tsp. clear vanilla
2 lbs confectioners sugar.

Blend crisco, butter extract and vanilla extract in mixer until creamy. Add your confectioners sugar a little at a time. It will get choppy, you will need to add about a TBSP of milk at a time until you reach your consistentcy. Make sure to mix it very well. Then add whatever color you'd like the sign to be.
