There are many icing recipes to choose from. Since you are not in the U.S. you might find some of the igredients unknown or unavailable.
One of the big things is to mix your ingreedients long and slow. At least 3-5 minutes on low speed of an electric mixer. Also make enough that the bowl of the mixer is almost full - so the beaters are covered by the icing.
Here is one recipe that you might try:

2 of Everything

2 cups of white fat shortening (such as Crisco)
2 cups of butter
2 pounds of powdered sugar
2 Tablespoons of flavoring
2 teaspoons salt

Mix the shortening and butter for 5 minutes on med, then low speed until very creamy. Add about 1 cup of the sugar and mix until creamy;add salt then continue adding sugar a little at a time until all is used. Add flavoring and mix 2 minutes more.

Flavoring can be whereever you want. Make a combination of something like vanilla extract, orange extract and almond extract OR vanilla, lemon and butter flavoring OR vanilla, butter flavor, and almond. You can use all of one flavor if you prefer but it's better when there is a combination :)
