Jack on the Farm

The base cake was a 1/2 sheet of vanilla. The barn was formed from Rice Krispy treats. To make the siding, I used browns and black to make a marbled fondant which I cut into strips and placed on the sides one at a time. The shingles were brown fondant cut into squares and overlapped. The horses (sticking their heads out of the barn windows), dog, boy, and ball were all fondant figures, and the hay bales were rice krispy treats covered with marbled fondant.
The scene was finished with "grass" piped along the edge of the barn and around the bales, and a simple shell border was piped along the edge.
