Lightning McQueen Cars Cake

I made this for my son's fourth birthday. I have the Wilton Cars cake pan but really wanted to set the scene for Lightning so I wrapped a cake board in fondant. Black fondant made the road and beige with mounds of fondant underneath to look like little hills. I sprinkled graham cracker crumbs on the base to look like a desert and then piped the plants. The Cars cake is mostly buttercream with some fondant accents like the 95. I used luster dust on the 95 and on the exhaust pipes. And finally, I really had this vision of him having real headlights so I wrapped the base of two party lights in fondant and tucked them into where the headlights would be.
