I tried making a cake precisely a wedding cake, and it got depreciating in taste the second week after the wedding.I used the basic cake recipe and added brandy, milk and some water to reduce the thickness. The customer complained and since i have been trying to know what is the cause. And this have made me run away from baking any thing cake.
Please, i will appreciate if you can put me through wedding cake recipe and the steps to follow to achieve a better result.
Thanks for your assistance.

i would suggest that u leave water and milk out next time (it's actually safer to add more eggs) because most of the time, d cake is not eaten immediately and u know there's epileptic power supply in nigeria so it can't be preserved in d refridgerator,it cld also b becos of d weather. all d best

Baking Tips

I'm not sure if you are a seasoned baker, or just beginning, I find it's best to follow a recipe exactly the first time or two when baking anything to see the result, then I attempt to add my own twist. Some cake batters will be thick, usually if butter is added, and others will be thin. Also make sure all ingredients are fresh. Just learn from this experience, and get back in the kitchen!
