Our Gingerbread House
Three large egg whites or 1/3 cup
2 lbs powdered sugar by volume
1 tsp clear vanilla extract
two drops of peppermint oil extract
combine egg whites, vanilla, and peppermint oil in large bowl. Beat until frothy or soft peaks form. Slowly add in the powdered sugar w/ the mixer on medium until all sugar is combined and desired consistency is reached.
Use this icing to bond together Gingerbread houses and also for a tasty piping on cake for lacework and such.
