The bottom cake is a two-layer 1/4 sheet cake, and the top layer was a 6-inch round. The entire cake was iced with buttercream. After the icing crusted, I used an impression mat to get the brick impression on the castle walls. The corner towers were two ice cream cones, bottoms glued together, and covered in white chocolate. The turrets were sugar cones covered with white chocolate and rolled in pink sugar. The doors, windows, and top edges of the towers and castle were all made from fondant. The vines on the towers were piped from royal icing. The vines on the castle were piped from buttercream. The rocks around the towers were milk chocolate covered rock candy. I finished off the towers with flags printed on card stock and added to the turrets with royal icing.

You done a very good jood job with this cake design, I just made a castle cake for my twin god babies on 8/8/2009 and that was the first designer cake I had ever done and I was going to post mine but after seeing this one i'm not going to post it. Mine looks good but clearly not as much effort and time as this one. Job well done.....
