Sailboat Cake

This was my first fondant cake. The toughest part was making the sail to show movement and not lie flat. I used different objects to prop it up in places to make it wavy. I attached it to a dowl rod with Royal icing and set it in the cake.

I got engaged on a sailboat in key west and this would make a really cute grooms cake for our beach wedding. The boat was The DreamCaser and this would be perfect! Now...can you make me one??LOL!! loved it!

I love it . Great Job
to make your fondant a little firmer try mixing it 1/2 & 1/2 with gumpaste. I'm new at this too . I tried it it works if you want it really hard try gumpaste by itself. Good luck with the rest of your endevors.
