silver anniversary cake

I had to bring all my baking equipment with me to germany to make this cake for my aunt and uncle! It was their silver anniversary and I offered to make the cake as a gift.

The top tier is plain sponge with vanilla buttercream and covered with regalice. the bottom tier is madiera covered with marzipan and regalice. The hearts are piped on with pink royal icing.

The flowers are made with flower paste which had been coloured before rolling the paste then to enhance the effects they were dusted after.
