The gazebo was designed by me after looking at many plans online for real gazebos. The roof is entirely made of gumpaste and "glued" together with royal icing. The only things not edible are the columns and the dowel the birdhouse is on. The cake is a vanilla butter cake filled and frosted with vanilla butter buttercream and covered in fondant. All flowers are gumpaste. It is a 10" and a 6". It was very fun to make but took weeks and planning and drying gumpaste pieces. This is the 4th cake I've made since May and have been decorating since 1977 but had not done it for a very long time. The gumpaste and fondant drew me back into decorating and now I am stuck.
