The Wizard of Oz

I had been asked to make a sheet cake and a doll cake for a Wizard of Oz themed birthday party for a little girl. I made the "Dorothy" doll and the "Yellow Brick Road" cakes and were to be delivered the next morning. The little girl's mother called me early evening before I was to deliver and told me that she had more guests coming than had been expected and asked if I could "whip together" something with such short notice. I told her that I would but that it would be just a sheet cake and nothing very elaborate. But then I started thinking about a fun design of Dorothy's house falling on the Wicked Witch. I decorated a sheet cake by constructing a house out of graham crackers and Frosted Mini-Wheats. At the end of the house you will see the legs of the Wicked Witch and the prized ruby slippers that were made out of red licorice! The birthday girl's mom was very pleased with how all 3 cakes turned out!
