Veggie Tales Birthday!

The bottom layer is Almond Cream Cheese Pound cake with Cream cheese filling. I covered with buttercream and cut out the countertop tiles with a square cookie cutter and laid them in a countertop pattern (like on the cartoon). The Tomato (Bob) I used the sports ball pan from Wilton and covered with fondant. The cucumber (Larry)is made of rice krispie treats and covered with fondant. All the peas are made of sugar paste as well as the mini forks and birthday hat for Larry. The second little cake that the tomato is sitting on is sitting on an actual birthday plate we used at the party and is 3 layers of triple chocolate cake. I carved it to have sloping sides for a cartoony look. The banner is dried sugar paste held up with toothpicks.
