Waterpark Cake

Waterpark Cake

I did this fun cake for my friend's birthday. I used three 6" round layers I had, to make 3 different pools sitting on separator plates. I used my tall and medium pillars to give a multi level effect. Then I used a little piece of foamcore to make little slides from one pool to the next. I used clear piping gel tinted blue to look like water. Lastly I figure piped swimming people in tubes all throughout the park! I made some with scared faces, surprised, and happy!

Fun in the Sun!

Fun in the Sun!

I decorated this cake using rolled fondant to cover the entire cake and mold all of the slides, kids, and tubes by hand. I also covered castle pieces with rolled fondant. I used butter cream frosting to make the bushes and flowers and piped them on. I used home-made blue piping gel for the water. My favorite part is the little girl coming out of the second layer of the cake, but they all look like they are having fun!
