Butter Pecan Sweet Cream Frosting has a nice, buttery pecan flavor, perfect for frosting chocolate cakes.

chopped pecans
1⁄4 c
melted butter
16 oz
cream cheese
1⁄2 c
2 lb
confectioners sugar
1⁄8 t
2 t
Vanilla Extract


  1. Stir together chopped pecans and 1/4 cup melted butter.
  2. Spread in an even layer in a 13- x 9-inch baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until pecans are toasted.
  4. Remove from oven, and let cool.Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy.
  5. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  6. Stir in pecans, salt and vanilla
