Description
Citric-almond icing combines fruity and nutty flavors to create a perfect complement to cheesecake. Also delicious on almond and other types of nut cakes.
Ingredients
1 c
butter (softened) 3 T
lemon juice 1 T
orange zest (finely chopped) 1 t
almond extract 5 c
creme fraiche 5 c
confectioners sugar (add more as needed to attain desired consistency) 5 c
brown sugarInstructions
- Cream butter, lemon juice, almond extract, and creme fraiche.
- Stir in confectioner's sugar and brown sugar until of a creamy and spreadable consistency.
- Add more confectioner's sugar, half teaspoonful at a time, until it reaches desired consistency.
- Keep chilled.
